José Manuel Broto

Product of that fertile and exciting generation of artists that emerged in Spain during the eighties, Broto (Zaragoza, 1949) has for years lived and worked in Paris, where his oeuvre has continued to develop, resulting in a primordial language  and  that unites gesture with space in an fundamental way. In this exhibition we present a selection of etchings and lithographs, recently completed, that show, with a wide chromatic range, a lyrical integration of new technologies, such as the digital pencil or the computer, with the traditional techniques associated with etching presses and lithographic stones. It is a body of work that, in the words of Antón Castro, "pour out in spiritual concentration, in painted poem, in transparency, fury and calm."
