Our area

Michael Dunev Art Projects is situated in Torroella de Montgrí, a mediaeval village in the heart of the Catalan region of the Baix Empordà (Costa Brava). Rich in history and medieval culture and architecture, the Baix Empordà is host to endless festivals dedicated to international music, its culture, gastronomy and wine.

The activities that are available to visitors include three world-class golf courses only minutes away, hundreds of miles of mountain bike and horse back trails that connect castles and small villages lost in time. For lovers of water sports, the Illes Medes, a marine sanctuary, offer unparalleled scuba diving in crystalline waters, while swimmers and sailors can enjoy the extraordinary beaches and coves that dot the Costa Brava.

Visitors to the area can enjoy the 2500 year-old Iberian ruins of Ullastret or the Greek and Roman city of Empúrias that gave its name to the area. Art aficionados can visit the Dalí Museum in Figueres or the Gala-Dalí castle in Púbol only minutes away.
