Activities

The Empordà is known for the beauty of its landscape, its mild, Mediterranean climate and a rich gastronomic variety steeped in centuries-old tradition.

Biking and horseback trails
There are hundreds of kilometres of mountain biking and horseback trails. Riding stables, cycling shops and Quad and Sedgway rentals can be found nearby, offering visitors a varied and unlimited access to the countryside.

Trekking and hiking trails
A vast network of trekking and hiking trails covers the Empordà, most of which are well marked.

Mediaeval villages
Dozens of perfectly preserved mediaeval villages inspire the imagination of the visitor and can easily be visited by car, mountain bike or hiking. They include Pals, Peratallada, Monells, Madremanya and S. Marti Vell.

Cultural sites
Art aficionados can visit the Gala/Dalí Castle of Púbol, the Dalí Museum in Figueres or Dalí's house in Port Lligat (Cadaqués), the Jewish Museum in Girona, the Arab Baths, as well as Art Museu 2000 in Torroella among others.

Water sports
The Mediterranean is 4 miles away. Nearby are secluded coves, wide beaches and picturesque fishing villages offering sailing marinas, windsurfing and the world-renown Illes Medes, a marine preserve visited by international scuba divers

Golf
Golfers will find three golf courses (one 27-hole) within ten minutes' drive and a pitch and putt course.
