Over the years I have been attracted to the figure in the landscape, especially in a solitary state, and when I have come across it I have tried to photograph it as discreetly as possible. Sometimes, perhaps because of my shyness, some are of people taken from behind and I have separated them for later viewing. The result is this series of images, evocative of strong human sensations, not devoid of humor, presented here with a fortuitous pairing of quotes, sometimes apocryphal, others of multiple authorship.
A note about the series title: In English the word “regarding” means both to see and apropos of, and it is this untranslatable ambiguity that highlights the mystery of our existence and offers us the key to understanding it.
